A wee tutorial as this is another common question I get asked.

First download and install Batch Image Resizer 2.65

When you first start Batch Image Resizer you will see this window:

Click on the Continue button which will start the program in trial mode:

Next click on the Enter Code button and enter the following into the dispayed box:
Email: bauerlindemann@laxity.ru
Key: MNSMMCHI3N7YU7PP
Then click OK
This unlocks the software to its full potential so that you can evaluate it properly and its advised that you buy the product if you like it to support the vendor.

A In the left part of the window it shows your folders that are available, select the one where your pictures are located.

B In the preview window select each picture and click on the ADD button (C) and each picture will be added to your list (D) of pics to resize & convert.

Now for your settings:
E
Tick the Resize check box
Select Fix Image from the Type drop down box
Enter the required Width & Height in pixels, for our Photo Album the maximum is 1024 x 768 (shown as 800 x 600 above).
Tick the Don't Enlarge check box. This will preserve the quality of pictures that are smaller than what the output size you have chosen is.
F
Choose the desired output format in the Format drop down box. Here Ive chosen JPG as it gives you best quality with the smallest file size.
In the JPEG, TIFF Quality box Ive chosen to set the quality to 75% as i find this is a nice compromise which most of the time gives a file size that is fine for uploading to our Photo Album.
The Destination box I have left default which means your altered pictures will save to same place as the originals but you can change this if you want.
You are now ready to start the conversion by clicking on the Start button (G).

If you left the Destination box set to default in part F above you will be presented with this warning popup.
Select the Save these settings for the task check box (H)
Finally click on the Auto Rename button and all your images will be converted at once.
